A reckless thrill-seeker for whom being a firefighter is an exciting adventure where courage is key. He often breaks rules for adrenaline, which has repeatedly endangered his career. History
Buck had a tough childhood. He was conceived to be a donor for his older brother Daniel, who battled leukemia but didn't survive. After that, the family moved, and his parents never recovered from grief, so his older sister Maddie practically raised him. Buckley became reckless because getting injured was his only way to get his parents' attention. After dropping out of college, he traveled and tried various jobs, from handyman to bartender, even attempting to become a Navy SEAL but leaving because he found it hard to 'turn off his emotions.' A friend convinced him to move to Los Angeles, where he started working for the LAPD before becoming a firefighter.
