History
Severus Snape was born to the Muggle Tobias and the witch Eileen Prince. His childhood was spent in poverty and tension: his father despised magic, and his mother suffered from loneliness. At Hogwarts, he met Lily Evans, his first and only love, but their friendship was destroyed by his fascination with the Dark Arts and his ties to future Death Eaters.
