This Privacy Policy describes how mybf.io handles information for the AI companion service.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how mybf.io collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information when you browse the site, start a chat, create an account, use voice messages, request photos, use memory features, buy or use credits, or contact support.
By using mybf.io, you understand that the service processes user submissions and account activity to provide an AI companion experience. If you do not want information processed as described here, do not submit it to the service.
2. Information You Provide
You may provide messages, prompts, character choices, profile preferences, account email, display settings, voice messages, audio transcripts, photo requests, generated-media prompts, support messages, feedback, and other content you choose to submit.
If you create an account, we may associate saved chats, memories, feature settings, usage credits, token balances, paid-access status, account preferences, support history, and safety settings with that account so the experience can continue across sessions.
You should not submit passwords, payment secrets, private keys, government identifiers, medical records, private addresses, private financial information, or other information that you do not want processed by an AI companion service.
3. Information Collected Automatically
We may collect device, browser, language, approximate region, referral, page activity, cookie, local storage, session, diagnostic, fraud-prevention, rate-limit, security, and usage information to keep the service working, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and understand aggregate product usage.
We may process usage records such as message counts, token balances, feature usage, content access status, error events, moderation signals, login events, account changes, and support history.
We do not need payment card numbers to provide the chat. If paid features are enabled, billing information is handled by a payment provider, and we may receive limited payment status, plan, receipt, tax, refund, dispute, chargeback, customer, and transaction identifiers.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to provide AI companion chat, bot voice replies, photo requests, roleplay continuity, account access, memory features, support, security controls, fraud prevention, payment status, analytics, and product improvement.
We may use information to investigate violations, enforce the Terms of Service, respond to support requests, comply with legal obligations, protect users, protect rights holders, prevent abuse, and maintain service reliability.
We do not sell your private one-to-one chats. We also do not use user-submitted private chat content to create unrelated third-party advertising profiles.
5. AI, Voice, and Media Processing
Messages, prompts, voice messages, transcripts, character context, memories, photo requests, generated media, and safety signals may be processed by AI, voice, image, moderation, safety, hosting, and infrastructure providers as needed to generate replies, voices, images, safety checks, moderation decisions, abuse prevention, and related product features.
Providers may process the minimum information reasonably needed to perform the requested service, troubleshoot errors, enforce safety rules, prevent abuse, or satisfy legal obligations. Their processing may be governed by their own terms, privacy notices, and data-processing commitments.
AI output can be inaccurate, unexpected, delayed, unavailable, or inconsistent. Do not submit secrets, payment data, passwords, private keys, or information you would not want processed for service operation.
6. Sharing
We may share information with vendors that help operate hosting, analytics, authentication, support, moderation, AI generation, media generation, voice generation, email, security, payments, fraud prevention, and infrastructure.
We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our rules, to protect rights and safety, to respond to rights complaints, to investigate suspected prohibited content or fraud, during a business transfer, or with your direction or consent.
We do not publish private one-to-one chats as public content. If the product later allows public characters, public profiles, shared content, or community features, content you choose to publish may be visible to other users and may be indexed, copied, or stored outside our control.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We may use cookies, local storage, session storage, pixels, tags, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, consent records, analytics, fraud prevention, payment checkout, referral attribution, and service reliability.
Cookie categories and browser choices are described in the Cookie Policy. Blocking essential cookies or similar storage may prevent login, chat continuity, security checks, payment checkout, or other core features from working correctly.
8. Retention and Deletion
We keep account, chat, memory, generated-media, payment-status, support, moderation, and usage information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain account continuity, satisfy legal or accounting duties, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, enforce Terms, and improve reliability.
You can request account or data deletion by contacting support@mybf.io. After a verified deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize account-linked personal information from active systems, subject to technical, legal, fraud-prevention, billing, security, and backup limitations.
Some records may remain where retention is required or reasonably necessary for security logs, legal compliance, accounting and tax records, billing records, refund and chargeback records, rights complaints, fraud prevention, abuse investigations, backups, or legitimate business needs.
9. Your Choices and Rights
You can choose not to create an account, clear local browser data, avoid submitting sensitive information, disable non-essential browser storage where available, or contact support about privacy requests.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, objection, restriction, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. To exercise a privacy right, contact support@mybf.io from the email associated with your account. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
We may deny, limit, or delay a request where permitted by law, including when necessary to protect security, prevent fraud, comply with legal duties, preserve evidence, complete transactions, or protect the rights of others.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can promise perfect security, uninterrupted access, permanent storage, or complete protection against unauthorized access.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, mybf.io is not responsible for losses caused by user-submitted sensitive data, third-party services, outages, unauthorized access outside our reasonable control, payment provider issues, or security events that cannot reasonably be prevented.
11. International Processing
mybf.io and its providers may process information in different countries. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal bases and safeguards for such processing.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, providers, legal requirements, or product features change. Continued use after an update means the updated policy applies to future use of the service.
